Participation in the FLOTT - River, landscape and settlement in the Middle Ages project
Members of the Department of Nature Conservation and Landscape Management participate in the project FLOTT - River, landscape and settlement in the Middle Ages: landscape archaeology, environmental history and site dynamics research in the Körös Region, initiated by the Institute of Archeology of the Humanities Research Center (supported by the NKFIH). Project leader: Dr. Csilla Zatykó, deputy director, BTK RI.
The research project aims to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic relationship between medieval man and the natural environment through the landscape history research of three wetlands along the Körös region, to better understanding the adaptation of the communities living here to the environment, their lifestyles, and their former settlements. In relation to the study sites of the project, our colleagues Dr. Dénes Saláta, Dr. Ákos Pető, István Milinkó and Ábel Molnár, as well as our student Balázs Kovács, are participating in the research.
