On the occasion of the Hungarian Science Festival 2022, the institute's FLOTT - River, Landscape and Settlement in the Middle Ages: landscape archaeology, environmental history and site dynamics research in the Körös region project, which was launched with the support of the National Research and Documentation Centre for Hungarian Science, was presented with a workshop conference on 15 November 2022.
The project aims to deepen the understanding of the dynamic relationship between medieval man and the natural environment through landscape history research of three wetlands along the Körös, and the study of the way of life and settlements of the communities living there, adapting to the environment or using its resources. In six presentations, the participants presented the main research questions, the methods used and the first results.
