Hungarian beekeeping accounts for 1% of the gross production value of agriculture and around 3% of livestock production. The supply of beekeepers is vital for the beekeeping society. Since the early 2000s, there has been no higher vocational training for beekeepers in Hungary, where students can acquire both theoretical and practical bee-keeping skills. At the same time, there has been a strong demand for higher-level beekeeping training for many years. For these reasons and needs, the aim of the course is to provide training for beekeepers with higher qualifications.
