Effects of renewable energy production on the environment and nature
Humanity is still meeting its exponentially growing energy needs by relying on fossil energy sources to a significant extent. However, to compensate for their decreasing amount and the negative effects of the global climate change caused by them, more and more renewable energy sources are trying to be included in energy production. Certain technologies utilizing these energy sources have started to grow dynamically in Hungary in the recent period, but at the same time, research into environmental and social effects does not follow the speed of technological and capacity development. We examine the quantitative, qualitative and complex effects of certain technologies on living and non-living environmental factors and social groups.
